We take the current situation very seriously and keep you informed here with the latest information from the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs (FDFA). If for any reason the trip is not safe for our group we will postpone or cancel the group trip and booked trips will be refunded free of charge.
VISA:
Travellers to Tanzania must present an entry visa. This can be applied for online. We recommend that all fellow travellers apply for and order the visa online. You can also apply for the visa on site at the airport of entry. However, this takes at least one hour! The visa costs $50.
Please apply for the visa a few days before your travel date. This is because it takes about 2-3 days for the visa to be issued. Here is the link to the visa portal: https://visa.immigration.go.tz/

There are no longer any Covid measures or restrictions for entry into Zanzibar.
There are currently no entry restrictions due to the Covid-19 pandemic. No proof of vaccination, recovery or testing is required for entry into Switzerland. More Information.
If the destination Zanzibar is no longer served due to the pandemic or Qatar Airways cancels the flight of our trip due to Covid-19, all booked trips will be refunded free of charge and the group trip will be postponed to another date.
Wearing masks is not compulsory.
The local currency in Zanzibar is Tanzanian Shillings. Here are the approximate conversions for the common currencies for 10’000 Tanzanian Shillings:

In Paje, about a 10-minute walk or a few minutes by taxi, there are several ATMs (cash dispensers) where money can be withdrawn with MasterCard, Visa and even the Maestro card. The latter must be approved for the country in advance.
Zanzibar is 90% Muslim. In B4 and Paje Beach you can move freely as you wish. However, we highly recommend covering your shoulders and knees on the street, both in any village and in Stone Town.
Your B4 Beach Club is super safe. We have great 24/7 Maasai security on site. In addition, there are safes in every bungalow or room. On the beach and on some of the local trails, you just need to follow a few instructions and use common sense, and you will be perfectly safe.
Yes, B4 Beach Club has a laundry service. If you want, you can also do your own laundry.
At B4 Beach Club, any consumption in the restaurant and bar can be added to the room bill, which can easily be paid by credit card upon departure.
Free Wi-Fi is available at B4 Beach Club. It is sufficient for normal use. However, if you really need fast internet, we recommend that you buy a SIM card at the airport.
The temperature in Zanzibar varies between 32 degrees during the day and 25 degrees during the night. This means that you can actually wear very summery clothes for the entire 10 days. You hardly need shoes or flip-flops either. It is therefore possible to walk barefoot for almost the entire duration of the holiday.
